LONDON LITERARY AGENTS
Luigi Bonomi read English Literature at University College London and at Dartmouth College in the USA. After working as a bookseller, in 1986 he joined the publishers Macdonald Futura as a children's book Editor. Since then he worked for a number of Publishers including Harlequin Mills and Boon and Penguin Books where he was an Editorial Director at Michael Joseph. In 1997 he became a literary agent joining Sheil Land Associates where he worked for eight years before setting up LBA in 2005. He has been personally responsible for discovering and launching the careers of a large number of bestselling authors. In addition to his day job he is Honorary Professor of Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University and the Literary Consultant for The Sunday Times Oxford University Literary Festival. In 2010 he won The Bookseller Industry Award for Literary Agent of The Year.
Amanda Preston read English Literature and Latin at Manchester University. After leaving university, she did a work experience placement at the Lonely Planet where she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in publishing and to that end, she joined literary agency Sheil Land Associates in 1997. In 2005 she joined LBA.
Thomas Stofer studied English at Leeds University before completing an MA at UCL. Subsequently he did work experience at a number of publishers including HarperCollins and Orion, interned at Little, Brown and did freelance work at Headline. During this time he also launched his own crime and thriller blog, Crime and Publishing, which has proven very popular within the industry.
Ajda Vucicevic read French at the University of Bristol. During her studies she worked at Blackwell's where she developed a keen interest in publishing which she has been able to realise since joining LBA in 2007.
